Positive: I like the layout of the apartment - it is very clean and uncluttered, but also very comfortable. The location is in a good area for me - close to the town centre. It has a nice large dining-room with a comfortable settee and a table and chairs. I loved it that I had access to BBC i-player (and other digital channels) on the very large TV screen in the lounge. The kitchen was very well-equipped and had everything that I needed for preparing a meal. There was also no problem at all with noise at the property - even when there was a resident in the upstairs apartment. When I was thinking of booking this apartment, I was very much wanting a downstairs apartment because of a mobility problem. I’m very grateful to Gail from YourStays for negotiating with another booker to swap them to the upstairs apartment so I could have the downstairs one. She was also very helpful in answering all my other queries about the property and in sorting a problem that I initially had with making a payment to YourStays via a link. Her colleague Donna was also very helpful on the first day of my stay by helping me sort out how to manually switch on the central heating using the thermostat control.
Negative: I would have preferred the bed to be slightly longer as I’m quite long-legged, but this wasn’t a big problem as the bed is still comfortable to sleep in. There is a washing machine in the kitchen, but no tumble drier, so I think it might be a problem drying the clothes if you did use the washer.
Summary: I felt very much at home straight away.
